Wednesday Apr 17, 2024
Wednesday Apr 17, 2024
This week Nicola has a candid chat about the highs and lows of life as an entrepreneur. Inspired by the quote “I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it's not the answer.” by Jim Carrey she delves into the realities of chasing dreams and building a business from the ground up.
Being refreshingly honest, Nicola explores both the rewards and challenges of what it means to be an entrepreneur. From the relentless demands and pressures of running a start-up business while balancing family responsibilities, fitness goals, and personal time, to the exhilarating moments of pursuing one's passions, having invigorating conversations and the freedom to manage her own time.
She hopes sharing her experiments will open up more discussions around the entrepreneurial mindset and struggles with others in the community, as it is not spoken about enough.
Finally, drawing from her experiences she shares her top tips for navigating entrepreneurship. From savvy management of startup costs, time, and resources, to prioritising self-care and seeking support when needed, expect invaluable advice to aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs alike.

My Book Writing Journey - Build, Excite, Equip
Wednesday May 18, 2022
Wednesday May 18, 2022
Join us today for this month’s Tales from the Trenches of Change Management podcast.
Today we delve into Nicola’s journey to becoming a published author. Using her many years of experience in Project and Business Change Management, Nicola was inspired to create a book that concentrated on a project team’s guide on how to apply adoption within projects and bring awareness of bridging the gap between project teams and the business.
We hear from Nicola her tales of self-doubt, confronting her fears of feedback from her peers, and growing not only as a person but ultimately realising her admiration for fellow authors. Over a two-year period, it has been a rollercoaster of emotion and self-critique. During this process, Nic has had to wear many hats to complete the final draft. In some way, she is her own worst critic, as many writers may experience when writing a book. Ultimately for Nic, this journey has been a rewarding experience.
Finally, Nicola offers listeners a wealth of practical tips and tricks for any budding authors out there, and words of encouragement for anyone who needs that final push to write their own book.
Please follow Nicola’s LinkedIn and Simplify Change’s website for more updates on the publishing date of the book, where to buy, and of course feedback is welcomed and encouraged.
